Vernon Legion Branch 25 operates a two-bedroom, living room and full kitchen cabin which is available to Legion members from May until October. Rental fees provide General Operating Funds for our local branch.
In 2026, upgrades and maintenance will be complete in early Spring 2026.
In 2025, we got a new step to the cabin. The new step was provided by Vernon member Rod N. A new window in the living room.
In 2024, we got a new to us fridge, a general clean up underneath the cabin, and new items to replace ones broken or missing from last year.
Renovations in 2023 included updated painting, window screen fixing, new toilet, new electrical work, and adding new window finishings. Vernon Legion members who helped included, Sandra Patterson, Cassaundra Belanger-Menzel, Bill and Sharon Balcaen, and Sharmon Massey.
Renovations in 2018 included new flooring donated by Home Building Centre and installed by Rod Hallett, baseboards and oak table donated by Vernon member Deb Zukowski, and labour contributed by Osprey Compact Interiors. We also had help from these Vernon Legion members: Madelaine Johnston, Jen Pace, Susan and Don Ingraham, Diane Joly, Chuck Hanes, Deb and Darrold Zukowski, Larry Glaim, Jarret Watts, Rick and Marilyn Anaka.
Guests are reminded to bring potable water (including ice), personal items and linens.
List of items supplied are sent to each renter the week prior to their stay.
There are six other cabins at the lake operated by other branches and interested members must contact the Branches directly for information.
